8th IATEFL Peru Annual International Conference “Reimagining our ELT Practices: Professional trajectories and life balance”


This annual event is organised by IATEFL Peru and congregates national and international ELT researchers, specialists trainers and teachers. 

  • Teacher trainers and coordinator’s day: 14 September, 2018 (8:00am to 6:00pm)
  • English teachers of all levels: 15 September, 2018 (8:00am to 6:00pm) 

Keynote presenters

Nick Bilbrough
Author of “Stories Alive”, recently published by the British Council. He is now devoting all his energy to the registered charity he set up, https://handsupproject.org/ working with Palestinian children through online storytelling. 15th September: “The (second language) play’s the thing”

Sandie Jones Mourão
Teacher educator, author and consultant specialising in early years language education. She is an invited assistant professor at Nova University Lisbon, where she works with primary English teachers and a regular collaborator with NILE, UK.  She is co-editor of Early Years Second Language Education: International Perspectives on Theory and Practice and author and researcher of “English teaching in the Early years: Peru”. 14th September: “Training to teach for Autonomy”
